"I live on Earth at present, and I don't know what I am. I know that I am not a category. I am not a thing — a noun. I seem to be a verb, an evolutionary process — an integral function of the universe." - Buckminster Fuller

Born in London my family joined the diaspora of the seventies and eighties and I found myself in Kent at age 11. I remember being "awake" at an early age as I suspect we all are. I continued for some time to live deliberately and became a musician.

Later in life I fell into a habit of drifting between wakefulness and the sleepwalking mode of "living". Several years ago I awoke again with a start and this time things were very different. I had fallen into a way of life that had made me very ill and I faced a whole set of challenges. I needed my wits about me, I needed to live deliberately once more, not just through choice but as a necessity. The problems I faced at that time became a gift, for it was the in the work that I had to do to overcome them that I made some wonderful discoveries.

The most important and inspiring of these was just how much there is still to discover, and that it is perfectly possible for us all to play a part in making new discoveries in consciousness, the workings of the energies from which the universe is made and the very fabric of existence and sentience. In fact, the more of us who take part, the better. It's an adventure with which I have been pre-occupied from an armchair, studio, under a tree or on a bar stool for as long as I can remember. Now I've stood up, had a good stretch, prepared my kit using books, meditation, group work, journeying, Reiki and other metaphysical kit building tools. The door is open and I'm filled with a sense of wonder at what I, we may find.

The fact that we can all take part in this frontier exploration has been facilitated by the connected world we now inhabit. Most of us carry a mobile phone and of course the internet has been the most revolutionary advance in this connectedness. Jung explored the collective unconscious, a world of archetypes and shared instinctive responses that connect us all at a deeper, well, unconscious level. In cyberspace we have found a way to facilitate and accelerate the growth of a collective conscious, a common sentience. There is no elitism here. No exclusion from access to data or findings on the grounds that you don't have the right qualifications or standing in society to access this library. All experimentation, all findings, all ideas for further experimentation are shared by the human race.

This collective conscious has profound implications for the future of human evolution. The Darwinian law of survival of the fittest, or most powerful, no longer need apply. Evolution no longer needs to be something that just happens to us, we can choose how we evolve. It is of course only a possibility, which we can choose to ignore, though I suspect we would remain asleep that way at our peril, because like it or not we have this choice, and with that comes responsibility. The process of evolution has woken up to itself and as a product of that process we are part of that awakening. We are the eyes, ears, spokespeople, mind, spirit and waking concioussness of evolution. Let's say we take the opportunity, move beyond the ego and shift our motivation from the self serving to an expression of the impulse to evolve as a whole. Choosing to explore the ways in which we can consciously develop and evolve ourselves In a process that is at one with our world and our universe. What are the possibilities? What tools for development are available to us? What is our potential? Are we using the internet like a child's walking frame, helping us to form the embryonic collective conscious until we truly re-unite as an intuitively, energetically connected whole? This blog is an attempt to contribute to that endeavor, which is already gaining momentum. A place where experiments, findings, discussions and developments can all be shared. A place to be what we are becoming. I hope you like it here, but if not, just help to change it. After all, that's what it's about :-)
